The worst thing happened last week, Buster my amazing dog passed away at the age of 14, to say he will be missed is an understatement. He was well known in both skateboarding and punk. But mostly he will be missed by me, Alice and family. I don't know when Buster stopped being a dog and became a human but he was more like a son to me.
I first met Buster 14 years ago whilst I was walking dogs for the RSPCA, there he was jet black with flashing white jaws barking at the top of his lungs, people were actually walking around his cage in fear. I asked what his story was and apparently he was on his third strike and was from a domestic abuse case. 1 more and it wasn't looking good. I wasn't ready for a dog and the girl I was with didn't want one. And in that minute I decided. Hey good news Buster your coming home with me.
I spent the next week sorting out my garden for a and stealing turf from the Celtic Manor, I was ok'd to have Buster.
Buster in his life got to meet alot of people and almost all he loved, all he asked was love in return, and sometimes not even that. He stopped me making a few mistakes along the way. I mean who would look after my boy if I was inside.
Eventually I realized that partying all the time wasnt fair either because all that dude wanted to do was hang out with me. And so after making me a better person I eventually met my future wife Alice who has been the best mum to Buster, and we moved away from all the crazyness of the skate house HOG and swapped drunken nights for walking in the woods. Pontypool has been good to us, it took us a bit to get used to the quiet life and the shinny floor but Buster loved it. It frightened me how he seemed to be getting old. Cue Buddy his little brother. He played Buster into being a pup again and it was a new lease of life. Not only did he have a new brother in Buddy but my Co Freestyle owner Steve's dogs took on a cousin roll (as Steve is also my friend and Brother in law to be) Spike, Ralph & recently Biggie were a great pack to run with.
Anyway Buster decided after an amazing life it was his time, he was young until the day he died in my arms and it broke my heart but it was the best way for him possibly to go.
Massive thanks to everyone who has been in touch and shared your love for Buster, it means the world. I am still sad but the love Buster has left in the world has made it a better place.

Team Freestyle skated amazing, I personally thought a 3rd place was deserved. In particular Dan "SKINNY" Hill blew me away with back to back massive grabs and all out steeze, he was everywhere on that course. The entire team smashed it and made me proud. Stoked!
As you can see we had quite a few of us travel up and I think people liked us haha!
Bailey was also there but we had to get Habgood to stand in.
